Week SIX

If you’ve made it to this final week of our study, congratulations! If, on the other hand, you’re just joining in today – we’re so glad you’re here! There is truth here for you, and we pray that the Spirit of Truth will encourage you this week.

We’ve spent our Shine Time reading various Bible passages that point out just who God says we are. The world and the people who live in it may try to call us names, define us by their standards, and judge us by their ideas. But the most important place to find our true identity is in Christ. Who does He say that you are?

Once again, this week’s daily Shine Time passages point you to solid, encouraging evidence that you are His creation, made with purpose and with a hope and a future.

I Am Engraved on His Hands

Isaiah 49:15-16 15 “Can a woman forget her nursing child, that she should have no compassion on the son of her womb? Even these may forget, yet I will not forget you. 16 Behold, I have engraved you on the palms of my hands; your walls are continually before me. If you want to start a conversation with someone, try…

I Am Destined for Glory

Romans 8:16-25 18 For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is to be revealed to us. 19 For the creation waits with eager longing for the revealing of the sons of God. 20 For the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly, but because of him who subjected it, in hope 21 that the creation itself…

I’ve Been Called

Romans 8:26-30 26 Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words. 27 And he who searches hearts knows what is the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints according to the will of God. 28 And we know…

I Am Secure

Romans 8:31-39 31 What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? 32 He who did not spare his own Son but gave him up for us all, how will he not also with him graciously give us all things? 33 Who shall bring any charge against God’s elect? It is God who justifies. 34 Who is…

I Am More Than a Pretty Face

Esther 4:1-17 1 When Mordecai learned all that had been done, Mordecai tore his clothes and put on sackcloth and ashes, and went out into the midst of the city, and he cried out with a loud and bitter cry. 2 He went up to the entrance of the king’s gate, for no one was allowed to enter…
